案山子、Scarecrow festival
The Scarecrow festival was held at Asuka-mura in Nara pref..
Asuka-mura was begining of the first unified government of old Japan about 1400 years ago.
As there are so many remains of an ancient city, many tourists visit to see them.
The festival was very interesting and almost of scarecrows designed happy families.
They were very funny and not so scarey against evil birds.
That why many evil birds join to these happy families more than before.
The Clean Osaka 2009@ Osaka castle
We cleaned the Osaka Castle Park on Culture Day of November 3.
Every third Saturday, we clean the park of Osaka Castle
The Lord, Toyotomi Hideyoshi who built the former Osaka Castle loved gourd and it's a kind of his symbol. This is the art of the flowers of Chrysanthemum.
Last year we were awarded the first prize in a cleaning contest held by the bureau of Environment in Osaka City Office.
